We have an immediate opening for a Contracts Program Manager reporting
into the Director and General Manager of the US Public Sector.
This role will be responsible for ensuring maximum contract revenue and
profitability through contract refreshment, marketing and
interdepartmental support, the position will require communication with
senior level customers, vendor partners and Softchoice Executives to
manage sales contract relationships and maintain a high level of US
Public Sector customer satisfaction.
Development and coordination of marketing and sales strategies is
critical to ensuring profitability and optimization of vendor
strategies. Position must forecast program revenues with sales and lead
the interdepartmental team to deliver a profitable program with strong
customer allegiance and referrals. Responsible for direct sales quota
and contact with the GSA, SEWP and other BPA contract offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be accountable for overall program P&L, manage multiple subcontracts
and oversee program-unique product lines valued at $1M or more.
- Manage and market the accomplishments of Softchoice and/or contract
office goals and objectives and drive profit maximization through
effective positioning and fostering of contract growth across the
Federal, State, Prime and affiliated program markets.
- Monitor and maintain contract compliance through establishment and
education of contract processes and procedures within the Softchoice
organization and across cooperative vendor channels to facilitate
program sales and support.
- Be a liason with corporate headquarters and assist in negotiating
modifications, soliciting and responding to requests for contract
changes, supporting product substitutions and facilitating technical
refreshments both within Softchoice and across the vendor community such
that Softchoice becomes the preferred contractor for customers, vendors
and program office referrals.
- Review and evaluate solicitations and assist in pro-actively targeting
new business opportunities and clients for the program office, vendors
and Softchoice sales personnel
- Negotiate and secure strategic vendor agreements for cooperative
marketing, exclusivity and optimal profitability across the program's
customer base and contract life
- Support sales, program office and vendor marketing efforts by
educating personnel on contract processes and benefits as well as
participating in US Public Sector sales conferences, trade shows,
seminars and briefings on behalf of Softchoice and its vendor partners.
- At least 50% of time spent with NASA SEWP and GSA Program offices
developing innovative ways to increase performance and sales.
- Prepare program sales forecasts with the vendor, sales and business
development teams and supervise sales program - level support to maintain
and report on program profitability and sales on a regular basis.
- Developing process documents and identifying areas for improvement;
working with various business stakeholders to execute on the improvement
initiatives
- Act as a liaison between the Public Sector line of business and
Softchoice Corporate operations. Communicate and translate new
government business needs (legislation, market trends, government
initiatives) to relevant Softchoice Operations and business owners
- Tracking and reviewing SEWP and GSA sales with PS senior management.
Working with management team on establishing SEWP and GSA related goals
and plans of execution
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-7 years of experience leveraging and managing government sales
contract processes
- 3-4 years of contract experience sales management progressively more
complex and large ($10M+) information technology (IT) related contracts
- 2-3 year relationship with NASA SEWP and/or GSA program office
- Excellent written, oral communication
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Ability to plan and manage the sales program budget cycle
